Coworker on Metrics (Beta)
Coworker is an AI assistant on the Route Planner metrics dashboard. Ask questions in plain language and get answers from the same fleet data behind the charts — utilization, on-time performance, driver workload, vehicle mix, POD compliance, trends, and more.
Coworker is read-only here: it analyzes your metrics; it does not create or change routes, orders, or drivers.
If you do not see the Coworker button in the header, your account may not have access yet — reach out to your account team.
For what each number means, see the Route Planner Metrics Glossary. Coworker answers questions about those numbers; the glossary defines them.
Opening Coworker
On Route Planner → Metrics, click Coworker in the top-right (next to Export). The panel opens on the right and shrinks the dashboard instead of covering it. Drag the left edge to resize; click Coworker again to close.
What Coworker already knows
Coworker uses the filters on the metrics page. You do not need to repeat account names or dates unless you want something different.
Control | What Coworker uses it for |
Account selector | Which branch(es) to analyze |
Date range | The reporting window (default: last 90 days) |
Aggregate / By Branch | Roll up multiple accounts or break out per branch |
Filters (driver / vehicle) | Scope to selected drivers or vehicles — single account only |
Change a filter on the dashboard and Coworker picks it up on your next message. You can also ask for a different window in chat — e.g. "last 30 days" — without changing the date picker.
What you can ask
Type a question or tap a suggestion chip when the chat is empty.

"What's our average stops per route?"
On-time & efficiency
"What's our on-time arrival rate?"
"On-time rate by driver"
"Are we faster or slower than planned?"
"What's our average dwell time?"

"Which drivers have the most route hours?"
"Who has the best on-time rate?"
"Which drivers have low POD completion?"
Vehicles
"Which vehicles are underutilized?"
"Show me hours and miles per vehicle"
"What vehicle types are we running most?"
Trends & comparisons
"Are route volumes trending up or down?"
"Routes per week for the last 3 months"
"Which days are busiest?"
"Compare this month to last month"
"Are on-time rates improving?"
"Second half vs first half of this period"
POD
"What's our POD completion rate?"
"POD completion rate and top failure reasons"
"Why are PODs failing?"
Branch comparison
"Which branch has the worst POD rate?"
"Compare utilization across branches"
"Which branch is underperforming?"
Interpretation & advice
Coworker isn't limited to raw lookups. It can pull multiple metrics together and give you an operational read on what to focus on.
"What should I focus on this period?"
"Where are our biggest problems?"
"Who needs coaching on POD or on-time?"
"Is workload balanced across drivers?"
"Are we improving or getting worse?"
Answers are grounded in your selected accounts and date range — use them to prioritize coaching, staffing, or fleet sizing, not as live dispatch instructions.
Coworker can also combine dimensions — e.g. "POD rate by driver" or "on-time rate and route hours for each driver."
How answers work
Completed work, not live status — data reflects finished routes in the selected date range, not where a driver is right now.
Direct answers first — a summary sentence, then a table when there is per-driver, per-vehicle, or per-branch detail.
No data is valid — if nothing ran in your window, Coworker says so instead of guessing.
Advice is data-grounded, not prescriptive — Coworker can interpret patterns and suggest where to focus, but recommendations are based on historical metrics in your selected window, not live driver locations or same-day dispatch decisions.
Hover the ⓘ icon on the dashboard or check the Route Planner Metrics Glossary for how a metric is calculated. Ask Coworker to interpret a number.
Note: the fleet utilization score, driver score, and up/down indicators on the dashboard are computed from several inputs. Coworker can answer the underlying metrics and trends; for the exact 0–100 score, refer to the chart or glossary.
Chat controls
Control | What it does |
Suggestion chips | One-tap starters before your first message |
+ (New chat) | Start a fresh conversation; dashboard filters still apply |
Clock (Recent chats) | Reopen a previous conversation |
Thumbs up / down | Rate a response; thumbs down opens a feedback form |

Tips
Set filters first — set accounts, dates, and any driver/vehicle filters before asking so the first answer matches the dashboard.
Be specific — "on-time rate by driver" beats "how are drivers doing?"
Name the dimension — say "by driver," "by vehicle," or "by branch" when you want a breakdown.
Drill in with follow-ups — "which drivers are below 70% POD?" or "show that weekly."
Start a new chat if things go sideways — if the conversation went off track or you changed filters mid-thread, hit + New chat to reset context.
Check sample size — small fleets can swing on a few late stops or missed PODs. Ask "how many stops was that based on?" when a rate looks surprising.
Questions or something looks wrong?
What does this metric mean? → Route Planner Metrics Glossary or the ⓘ tooltips on the dashboard.
Answer doesn't match the chart? → Confirm the same accounts, date range, and filters are selected, then ask again.
Still looks off? → Reach out to your account team.
