How Driver Payouts are Determined

How delivery payouts are calculated — mileage, vehicle type, load size, market conditions, loading/unloading, and tolls — and where drivers see the amount before accepting a job.

Curri calculates every delivery payout using a consistent set of factors, so you know what to expect before you ever accept a gig.

How Delivery Payouts are Determined

Before accepting a gig, you can see the payout amount for a delivery in the Curri Driver App. Each payout is calculated using several factors, including but not limited to:

  • Miles driven

  • Vehicle type requested

  • Size of the load

  • Market conditions (for example, local regulations, demand patterns, and gas prices)

  • Loading and unloading requirements

  • Tolls

As a general rule: the larger the vehicle and the longer the distance, the higher the payout.

What's Already Included in Your Payout

Every payout already factors in:

  • Standard wait time

  • Tolls (on the most efficient route)

  • Loading/unloading pay, in some cases

Loading and Unloading

When a delivery requires hand loading or unloading, that requirement — and whether it's already factored into the payout — is noted on the delivery before you claim it.

If loading or unloading isn't already included in the original payout and involves more than 100 lbs, you can request additional pay for it before completing the delivery.

Tolls

Tolls on the most efficient route are included in the payout for most deliveries. If the actual route changes because of a significant destination change, you can request a toll adjustment — toll receipts must be submitted within 48 hours of completing the delivery.

For the full breakdown of what's included automatically and what can be requested afterward — wait time, tolls, loading/unloading, and more — see Driver Payout: Increases.
