What to Know About Stripe
Curri partners with Stripe to securely process every driver payout. Stripe is a widely-used payment platform — your card and bank account details go directly to Stripe, not Curri.
You may be asked to verify your identity. As your earnings grow, Stripe may ask for details like your Social Security number, date of birth, or a government-issued ID — this is a legal requirement for paying independent contractors, not something unique to you.
Stripe handles your tax forms. If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year, Stripe sends you a 1099-NEC (look for an email from [email protected] around January). See the 1099 Tax Form FAQ for details.
Most cards and bank accounts are supported. Stripe determines eligibility for each payout method, and only a small number of card types — such as certain prepaid cards or Cash App cards — aren't supported. If a method can't be used for a specific payout type, the app will flag it as ineligible.
